Another sign of Thailand’s economic slowdown due to COVID-19 is the announcement of a temporary closure of the Bangkok United Mall, 

allegedly due to Covid-19 safety issues, but most likely due to a shortage of customers during the pandemic.








 The Ladprao shopping mall announced its closure on Facebook this week. 

The mall has become an exception for grocery stores, stating that restaurants and catering services can continue to operate on shore. 

The shopping mall has issued a statement announcing that it will be closed from now until at least May 27. 






However, the closure may be expanded in future announcements. 

Close shopping centers to prevent the outbreak or spread of Covid-19. 

This measure gives companies that rent shops in shopping centers the opportunity to not worry about business operations and the risk of infection during the pandemic, and can temporarily get rid of rental costs.
